Where is the best place to sell an iPad in the UK?

By the PhoneTradeIn team · Published 18 October 2026 · Prices as of 18 October 2026

Short answer: CeX pays the most for a used iPad more often than any other UK store, with Back Market close behind. The gap between the best and worst offer for the same iPad is a median £99 — and which store wins depends on the range.

How we tested it

We collect every store's published trade-in price for each iPad model, storage size, connectivity and condition. For a like-for-like comparison we took every Wi-Fi iPad configuration in good condition that at least two stores price, and counted which store paid the most: 117 head-to-head comparisons.

Is a Cellular iPad worth more?

Usually a little. Comparing the same store, model, storage and condition, a Wi-Fi + Cellular iPad fetched a median 2% more than the Wi-Fi-only version across 1,269 pairs of prices. If your iPad has a SIM tray, it is a Cellular model — make sure you pick that option when you get a quote.

What about a broken iPad?

A faulty iPad loses more of its value than a faulty iPhone: its best offer is a median 19% of the same iPad in good condition. It is still worth quoting — even old models usually have a price.

The practical answer

No store is best for every iPad. Find your model — here is how to tell which iPad you have — then compare every store's price.

Figures from 6,542 prices collected between 29 July 2026 and 18 October 2026 from each store's own trade-in tool. CeX prices are the cash figure.
