Getting the most for your iPhone 13
- Compare before you post. The same 128GB iPhone 13 is worth £113 at one store and £138 at another.
- Grade it honestly. Every store inspects the device; if it is worse than described you get a lower revised offer.
- Turn off Find My first. An Activation-Locked iPhone is rejected or returned. Our preparation checklist covers every step.
- Check if it is unlocked. Settings → General → About → Carrier Lock should read “No SIM restrictions”. Why it matters.
iPhone 13 trade-in questions
How much is my iPhone 13 worth?
UK trade-in stores currently pay up to £204 for an iPhone 13, depending on storage, network and condition. A 128GB unlocked iPhone 13 in good condition fetches up to £138 at Back Market.
Which store pays the most for an iPhone 13?
In our latest data CeX publishes the highest working price, £204 for a 512GB model. The best store can change by storage and condition, so check the table for your configuration.
Can I sell or recycle a broken iPhone 13?
Yes. The best published price for a faulty or cracked iPhone 13 is £65 (256GB, Currys). Faulty prices assume the worst case the store lists — if less is wrong with yours, the store may pay more.
Can I sell a brand-new or sealed iPhone 13?
Yes, but none of the stores we compare publishes a separate price for a sealed or unused handset, so a new iPhone 13 is priced in the top condition grade: up to £204 for the 512GB model at CeX.
Has the iPhone 13 trade-in value gone up or down?
Down. The best published price is £204, down £2 (1%) from £206 at our previous update on 16 September 2026.
Is it worth comparing trade-in prices for an iPhone 13?
Yes. For a 128GB iPhone 13 in good condition, 6 stores quote between £113 (Argos) and £138 (Back Market) — a £25 difference for the same iPhone.
Does a network-locked iPhone 13 get less?
At some stores, yes. CeX typically pays less for a handset locked to EE, O2, Vodafone or another network, while Currys quotes the same price either way and Back Market does not ask. The table above shows unlocked prices; the full comparison lets you pick your network.
